Senior School at Velora is a time of growth, challenge and discovery. From the first days of Year 7, all the way through to VCE, students are supported to become confident learners, thoughtful leaders and capable young adults who understand their strengths and interests.
Across Years 7–12, students experience a carefully designed balance of academic challenge, wellbeing support and opportunities beyond the classroom. This is where curiosity deepens into purpose, friendships strengthen into community, and learning becomes increasingly shaped by each student’s goals and ambitions.

A journey through Senior School
Senior School at Velora is designed as a connected learning journey, with each stage building on the one before it.
In Years 7–9, students explore a broad curriculum while developing independence, confidence and a strong sense of belonging. Year 7 marks the transition into specialised subjects such as science, where students begin applying knowledge through investigation and problem-solving. Year 9 is a defining year of challenge and choice, supporting students’ personal growth through experiences such as Trek or Quest and expanded subject opportunities.
From Year 10 onwards, students begin shaping their own pathways, exploring electives, career interests and future possibilities as they prepare for VCE. The program combines core learning with increasing choice, helping students become independent and effective learners.

Senior School learning at Korowa is supported by a strong pastoral care structure, ensuring every student is known and supported as an individual. Teachers, mentors and wellbeing specialists work together to support academic progress, personal development and mental health across the secondary years.
